				<h5>Omron CP1H CPU</h5>
<p>The Omron CP1H PLC model is the compact version of the Omron CJ1 PLC. It represents the synthesis of all the strengths of the Omron CPM2A and CJ1 series PLCs. Integrated functions, high-speed counters, pulse outputs and analog inputs / outputs offer great flexibility. The integrated communication gateway functions make the Omron CP1H PLC the first compact programmable controller belonging to the Omron &#8220;Smart Platform&#8221;. All Omron devices connected to CP1H via Ethernet, DeviceNet, Mechatrolink-II or serial interface can be configured, programmed and monitored through a single connection, thanks to the CX-One software package.</p>

<h5>Expandability</h5>
<p>A wide range of expansion modules such as digital I / O, analog I / O and remote I / O modules are at your disposal to create the application you need. The Omron CP1H PLC is expandable with CPM1A I / O modules (up to 320 I / O points) and with up to two CJ1 special I / O modules or CPU bus units. This possibility of expansion guarantees the opening to the most common fieldbuses and the support of all communication modules of the CJ1 series.</p>
<p>Omron CJ1 offers a wide range of analog input modules, suitable for any application, from multi-channel temperature measurement to high-speed, high-accuracy data acquisition. The analog outputs can be used for actuator control or for indicating the status of the process to be controlled. The analog modules are equipped with integrated scaling, filter and alarm functions, allowing you to avoid complex PLC programming. High-precision process I / O modules support a full range of sensors for fast and accurate data acquisition. The temperature control modules perform PID calculations and alarm monitoring on behalf of the PLC CPU. These functions are managed autonomously by the module, thus offering control performance and autotuning functions similar to those of autonomous temperature controllers.</p>

<h5>Omron CJ1 communication</h5>
<p>The Omron CJ1 PLC allows connection with the main open Fieldnus communications networks (DeviceNet Ethernet, Profubus DP, Lan) as well as proprietary high-speed network connections with an excellent price / performance ratio. Data links between PLCs or higher-level IT systems can be made via serial or Ethernet links, or using the easy-to-use Controller Link network. Omron offers support for DeviceNet and PROFIBUS-DP, the 2 most popular field networks. As high-speed field I / O, Omron offers CompoBus / S, a module with unparalleled ease of installation. The fully user configurable CAN-based communication can be used to emulate a variety of application specific protocols.</p>

<h5>Omron NJ1 PLC</h5>
<p>Omron NJ1 PLCs are part of the Omron NJ family which consists of scalable programmable controllers for logic sequence control and motion control that include options for advanced functions such as robot control and connection to SQL, Oracle, MySQL, IBM DB2, Firebird databases etc. The Omron NJ family is able to control up to 64 axes with logic sequence, motion, robot (Delta, SCARA and Cartesian control) functions. The Omron NJ1 PLC is able to control 2 axes with PLC logic, motion and database connection functions.</p>

<h5>Omron NJ1 PLC and Sysmac platform</h5>
<p>The Sysmac automation platform of which the Omron NJ1 PLC is a part provides an integrated solution including the best in machine controllers that work seamlessly with the best devices in the field via the fastest network of machines on the market (EtherCAT). The Sysmac automation platform is programmed, configured and simulated by a single software (Sysmac Studio) and can be accessed through a single connection (Ethernet / IP).<br />
The heart of Sysmac is the Machine Controller series, which offers synchronous control of all machine devices and advanced features for motion, robotics and database connectivity. This multidisciplinary concept allows you to simplify the architecture, reduce programming and optimize productivity.</p>

<h5>Omron NJ1 PLC &#8211; four models</h5>
<p>The Omron NJ1 PLC is produced in 4 models: the basic model is the NJ101-9000 CPU which allows only logic programming. Motion control can be performed with the NJ101-1000 and NJ101-9020 PLC. The latter also allows connection to SQL databases. The most sophisticated NJ1 model is the Omron NJ101-1020 PLC which in addition to motion and database connection also allows the control of two axes.</p>

<p>Collaborative robots are designed to work side by side with humans, without the need to insert them in expensive safety cells. Of course, their speed is lower than that of industrial robots: they work at &#8220;human&#8221; speeds but with precision and continuity as robots do, 24 hours a day. This is why cobots are very useful for performing repetitive tasks in already existing plants, of which they increase productivity, not for nothing the introduction of collaborative robots has contributed greatly to reducing the phenomenon of reshoring, thanks to a reduction of production costs.</p>
<p>Cobots can be easily moved and reprogrammed. For this reason, collaborative robots are able to respond to the need for high variability required by the market combined with high machining precision.</p>

<h5>anthropomorphic robot and robotic arm &#8211; generality</h5>
<p>The anthropomorphic robot imitates some human movements, or rather, the anthropomorphic robot imitates some human characteristics. In the industrial field, an anthropomorphic robot is commonly understood as a robotic arm with an open kinematic structure and six degrees of freedom: in practice it is a mechanical arm that imitates human movements and is therefore particularly effective in carrying out human work. In humanoid robotics, the anthropomorphic robot also imitates other human characteristics: for example, appearance, expression, perception.<br />
The first anthropomorphic robot to be used in the industrial field was built in 1973 by the Swedish company Asea: its name is IRB 6 and it is a robotic arm used for polishing steel pipes. In the same year, the German Kuka builds the first robotic arm with 6 electromechanical axes.</p>

<p>The Omron LD Cart Transporter has been designed to be mounted on moving trolleys and to transport them from one collection point to one drop point. Possible applications include replenishing inventory on the production line side, transporting unfinished products (Work in Progress) between process steps, and moving finished products to the warehouse. The Cart Transporter uses Natural Feature Navigation technology to autonomously locate a route in the system, without the need to make changes to it. The Omron LD Cart Transporter can be used safely between existing doors and aisles, as it is able to detect and avoid people, forklifts and other objects it encounters on its way.</p>

<p>In case of substantial changes to the working environment (for example in warehouses and factories where objects such as pallets and trolleys often change position), the Acuity function is an additional method of &#8220;locating&#8221; the integrated laser. The latter identifies the lights in the ceiling lights and superimposes the &#8220;map of lights&#8221; on the &#8220;floor map&#8221;, also allowing the mobile robots to move easily between the wide open spaces of the warehouses.</p>

<h5>SCARA and Omron type X series robots</h5>
<p>Omron X series and Omron XG series are SCARA robots. The SCARA robot is a type of industrial robot with a rather simple structure, characterized by 4 joints with vertical axis. The arm of the SCARA robot &#8211; consisting of two rigid elements called links &#8211; moves on a horizontal plane, while vertical movement is ensured by a third element connected by prismatic coupling. A further rotoidal coupling is sometimes present to allow rotation of the gripper around its axis.</p>
<p>Characteristics of SCARA robots such as Omron X series are high reliability, precision and speed, minimal maintenance, ease of use and extremely compact design. The main point of interest of a SCARA robot is the vertical handling force, in fact, to lift a piece the movement takes place on a single axis, simplifying the structure to the full advantage of reliability.</p>
<p>The abbreviation SCARA is an acronym that derives from the English &#8220;Selective Compliance Assembly Robot Arm&#8221;, whose meaning is &#8220;assembly robot arm with selective flexibility&#8221;. There is talk of selective flexibility because the gripper can move slightly &#8211; if forced &#8211; in the horizontal plane but not in the vertical one.</p>

<h5>Delta or parallel robots and Omron Quattro</h5>
<p>Omron Quattro is a delta robot. The typical configuration of a delta robot follows a classic pattern: three high-torque servomotors are mounted on a rigid frame. On each motor shaft, an arm is mounted perpendicular to the shaft rotation axis. Some robots use direct transmission, in which the arm is mounted directly on the shaft, and some use a reducer. These “bicep” arms are connected to light rods arranged in parallelograms to limit the twisting movement. These &#8220;forearm&#8221; arms are connected to a central platform. The joints at the two ends of each parallel rod move freely, typically in spherical joints. On the lower platform it is possible to connect the final effector and several other options, including motors for additional axes of freedom. Most delta robots have at least a fourth axis which allows the rotation of objects.</p>

<p>The main advantage of the delta robots is that the heavy motors are fixed on the frame, allowing the moving parts of the robot to be very light. On the contrary, each motor of an articulated arm robot carries the weight of all subsequent motors. Due to the lever-based design, the motors must provide high torque to counteract the increase in the lever applied by the payload on the shaft. This results in the low payload of most delta robots needed to maximize speed.</p>
<p>While most delta robots have three arms and four axes of freedom, there are other configurations available. Omron, for example, offers the Quattro parallel robot which uses 4 motors with 4 parallel connections instead of the classic 3 parallel connections: this design allows the robot to carry a greater payload or to perform a faster cycle, even twice as fast as to a &#8220;traditional&#8221; delta robot.</p>

<h5>Delta or parallel robots and Omron Hornet 565</h5>
<p>Omron Hornet 565 is a delta robot. The typical configuration of a delta robot follows a classic pattern: three high-torque servomotors are mounted on a rigid frame. On each motor shaft, an arm is mounted perpendicular to the shaft rotation axis. Some robots use direct transmission, in which the arm is mounted directly on the shaft, and some use a reducer. These “bicep” arms are connected to light rods arranged in parallelograms to limit the twisting movement. These &#8220;forearm&#8221; arms are connected to a central platform. The joints at the two ends of each parallel rod move freely, typically in spherical joints. On the lower platform it is possible to connect the final effector and several other options, including motors for additional axes of freedom. Most delta robots have at least a fourth axis which allows the rotation of objects.</p>

<p>The main advantage of the delta robots is that the heavy motors are fixed on the frame, allowing the moving parts of the robot to be very light. On the contrary, each motor of an articulated arm robot carries the weight of all subsequent motors. Due to the lever-based design, the motors must provide high torque to counteract the increase in the lever applied by the payload on the shaft. This results in the low payload of most delta robots needed to maximize speed.</p>
<p>While most delta robots have three arms and four axes of freedom, there are other configurations available. Omron, for example, offers the Quattro parallel robot which uses 4 motors with 4 parallel connections instead of the classic 3 parallel connections: this design allows the robot to carry a greater payload or to perform a faster cycle, even twice as fast as to a &#8220;traditional&#8221; delta robot.</p>

<h5>Scara type robots and Omron eCobra</h5>
<p>Omron eCobra is a SCARA robot. The SCARA robot is a type of industrial robot with a rather simple structure, characterized by 4 joints with vertical axis. The arm of the SCARA robot &#8211; consisting of two rigid elements called links &#8211; moves on a horizontal plane, while vertical movement is ensured by a third element connected by prismatic coupling. A further rotoidal coupling is sometimes present to allow rotation of the gripper around its axis.</p>
<p>Features of SCARA robots like Omron eCobra are high reliability, precision and speed, minimal maintenance, ease of use and extremely compact design. The main point of interest of a SCARA robot is the vertical handling force, in fact, to lift a piece the movement takes place on a single axis, simplifying the structure to the full advantage of reliability.</p>
