The Seneca Test 4 multimeter is a process calibrator capable of generating or measuring the quantities of an industrial process. The instrument also allows to display the values measured or generated through the MODBUS-RTU protocol.
The Seneca Test 4 can be powered by two NiMh rechargeable batteries that guarantee a minimum autonomy of 8 hours at full load, or from a 220 V network via the appropriate power supply / battery charger.
Through the menu it is possible to set the type of operation (Generation or Measurement) and of signal (Voltage or Current). The user can also select the language and other parameters such as the contrast and sensitivity of the knob.
The Seneca Test 4 multimeter is equipped with a knob with button for confirming the mode
operation and for output. The knob also allows setting the value of the electrical quantities generated and moving between the menu items. The two bushings on the upper side are used for both generation and measurement. The USB micro AB connector, on the other hand, allows communication and data acquisition via Modbus protocol.

The Seneca Test 4 multimeter - signal generator, portable V-mA meter - is a valid support for calibration sessions, laboratory tests and for simulating analog measurements controlled by industrial devices (PLC, regulators, data acquisition systems, etc…). With a total accuracy of less than 0.1%, a resolution of one µA and one mV, Seneca Test 4 guarantees optimal calibration results. It allows the simulation of both voltage and current ramps (active or passive).
Seneca Test 4 can be powered from a 220 V / AC mains via a special power supply or with 2 NiMh batteries which ensure an average autonomy of 20 hours.
